When transgender activist Monica Helms designed the trans pride flag in 1999, she added light blue and pink stripes to represent the traditional colors for baby girls and boys, with a white stripe in the middle representing people who are transitioning, intersex, and those with a neutral or undefined gender identity. As we keep up the fight for trans rights, flying this flag (and wearing it) shows the incredible progress the trans community continues to make every day.
